How to Use Mustache Wax
We’re often asked for our best tips on using our products, so today we’ll address a frequent question: how to use mustache wax. It’s really simple once you get the hang of it and your mustache will benefit – even if you’re not into growing a handlebar. Mustaches of any length can be groomed with high quality mustache wax.
First, remove the lid from the tin. Then use the tip of your fingernail to ‘reverse scoop’ / lift out a small amount of wax. You want to push out rather than dig in with your nail, because goodness knows what kind of funk is under your nail (only sort of kidding), and it can be hard to clean wax out from underneath the nail.
Next, roll the bit of wax in between your fingers to soften slightly.
Apply to the mustache and work evenly through clean, dry hair. Some prefer to use a small hair comb, toothbrush or mustache comb to distribute the wax through the facial hair.
Style and apply more wax as needed. Less is more, though, so start with a small amount and slowly work up if needed. Too much wax can make your hair clumpy and look greasy.
Use A.J. Murray’s Shampoo/Body Wash to remove the wax without drying the hair or skin underneath.
